Okay. So this page is not about Reverse Mortgages. But I thought it would be nice to recall some interesting things about stars from yesteryear. These are legendary actors who thrilled audiences around the globe.  

HEDD Y LAMARR - Hedy Lamarr, my favorite actress and, to me, the most beautiful. was not just a pretty face. She was also highly intelligent.  Howard Hughes, American aerospace engineer, businessman, and filmmaker called Heddy Lamarr a "genius". Lamarr was indeed a genius as the gears in her inventive mind continued to turn. "At the age of 28, Lamarr designed and patented a radio controlled, frequency hopping system called the Secret Communication System that was intended to keep U.S. Naval torpedoes from being detected by German naval fleets. Lamarr donated the patent to the U.S. Naval war effort, and although the Navy didn’t employ it during WWII, it proved to be invaluable during the Cuban Missile Crisis. BEFORE SHE WAS RITA (HAYWORTH, THAT IS!)

Rita Hayworth was Born Margarita Carmen Cansino in 1918, Hayworth faced hardship and heartache from her earliest years. When she was just 12, her entertainer father made her his dance partner, making her perform at wild floating casinos.  He would beat her and, as Hayworth later confessed to her second husband Orson Welles, her father would sexually abuse her too. A poor student, much of Hayworth's time was spent practicing and performing. She was rarely seen playing with other children, and had few chances to make friends.  Rita Hayworth starred in 61 films over 37 years! The press coined the term "The Love Goddess" to describe Hayworth after she had become the most glamorous screen idol of the 1940s. She was the top pin-up girl for GIs during World War II. She  met Orson Welles who welcomed her into his circle of friends, and by 1943 they decided to marry. They tied the knot on September 7, 1943, while Hayworth was on a lunch break from her film Cover Girl.

Of her many marriages, Rita Hayworth was happiest with Orson Welles. "I never saw a happier, more tickled, more delighted, adorable couple in the world," secretary Shifra Haran. For a time they would be one of the happiest pairs in Hollywood. 

Rita was an expert dancer and Fred Astaire's favorite. "Fred Astaire named Rita Hayworth as his favourite dance partner. AUDREY HEPBURN 

One of my absolute favorite actresses was Audrey Hepburn known for her many movies: Breakfast at Tiffany's, My Fair Lady, and my favorite WAIT UNTIL DARK with Alan Arkin.  "Audrey Kathleen Hepburn (née Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress. Recognized as a film and fashion icon, she was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third-greatest female screen legend from the Classical Hollywood cinema and was inducted into the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame List." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audrey_Hepburn Gone too soon, her wisdom is unmatched. She suffered during WWII in Holland, and barely survived. “I went as long as three days without food,” she recalled of the early months of 1945, “and most of the time we existed on starvation rations. For months, breakfast was hot water and one slice of bread, made from brown beans.
